WHAT MOTIVATES ME TO DO THIS WORK?

I believe that people should look forward to going to work each day.  I don’t mean that work should be easy, or that expectations or standards should be low. Quite the contrary – I see people pushing themselves to be better when they feel valued, are supported and challenged, and can see the positive results of their efforts in helping the team or company achieve its goals.

Creating this spirit comes from the leadership of the company. Successful companies develop and nurture leaders who have the skills to provide clear direction, communicate expectations, offer effective support and redirection, and have the confidence to adapt and grow to meet the always changing challenges.

I know that through a commitment to learning, combined with intentional efforts, this can be achieved at any company. My greatest joy, usually near the end of my engagement, comes from seeing that a client has mastered new ways of thinking and acting and they see the results of this work. I often hear them start a conversation with a colleague by saying, “I’m going to channel Lynn right now…”
